Today Darrel and i went to visit a common vet friend of ours - spent the day there and let cookies (our dog) socialise...

well, on the way back (by which we were VERY late for dinner), Darrel started to slow down as he noticed this chihuahua the middle of a busy road - so obviously being the dog lover he is... he stop'd to help this poor lost dog - me on the other hand was busy fusing bout the fact that we were VERY late for dinner with his family...

Well, for one, catching that scared grumpy dog was not easy at all - not even for a vet.. cookies came in handy and helped 'bait' that dog... so soon we got hold of it and it was on its way to see if it was microchiped - unfortunately NOT!

Sadly, i think he might be on his way to the pound tomorrow morning and - might be put down...
To be totally honest - I DO NOT consider myself a dog lover at all - I have been brought up in a home where by dogs SERVE humans and not the other way round... there ALWAYS is about 6 dogs in my house though the number varies ALOT as the turnover is rather HIGH - as in they die, pups come, given away, new dogs given to us... and u get the idea - so I guess, I've never been really attached to any of my dogs at all...

I am totally against it - when DOGS get treated like human beings - when people spend like horrendous amounts of money on animals (whether it is on food, clothes? - seriously man they have FUR, medical)... Rather I believe that money should be put into good use - for example, adopt a kid instead if u are feeling lonely - animals die after all and heck! there is no such thing as dog heaven!

But God does have a VERY good sense of humour - cuz who would have guess that I'd be marrying a VET... not a doctor - a VET!! and it's KEWL most of the time.. I mean I LOVE the pups... I love going with him when he has to do a caesarean - it is DANG exciting... but I guess I wonder if I'd ever love dogs - not in that way I think...

Anyways, we were watching 'the pacifier' while at our friend's place I thought this song was so cool - I guess it's true how we all can be ordinary everyday SUPERHEROES in our world - and if we work together, changing this world a bit at a time - maybe... just maybe...

It'll be a better world in the end :)
whether it is a doctor saving a LIFE
or a vet saving a lost dog...

u are still a SUPERHERO :)



Ps. i am abit sad that dog's gonna be put down to be honest... maybe someone can adopt him? :D
