I love when I find new albums

Today I found 2 - Howie Day's (of which I can't wait to get) and Boys like girls

A couple of my favourites in this album are Someone like you and Two is better than one

*I know... I have a soft spot for cheesy songs :p

But this this song stood out to me the most,

Maybe cuz...

I've been through something like that and miraculously came out the (what really felt like an endless) tunnel

And I do think this song is inspirational :D

Isn't it funny how when you are going through something (be it a rough time or it may even be the best time of your life)

and you hear a song that captures your emotions at that exact point

Where it almost seems the artist is putting your every thought and feelings into words and music

...suddenly that songs becomes MORE than just an ordinary song to you

You find yourself listening to it over and over again

Until someday you find another song to replace that phase

But yet,

And at any point in your life when you hear that song again, you'd be transported back in time...

And magically you'd remember your very thought and emotion back then.

I love it :)

But what I recently experienced was totally different...

I was at a normal Fungus Friday night youth worship and to be very honest I don't think I really remember the last time I have been 'touched' in a youth worship session.

And this is since I can remember which is, back in YC at FGA KL to Powerhouse in Hillsong church.. And it funny cuz usually I get blown away at camps and conferences...

I always thought that Youth meetings are too... ordinary - you know?

Time is limited (where the worship team sings 2 praise songs and 2 worship songs) and then its wrap up time, and on to the program.

But last Friday - something happened.

When the song Came to my rescue started, it felt like my heart was pounding 10 ten times harder...

Suddenly I wasn't being distracted...

and nothing else in the world mattered anymore

But see...

This song is NOT new to me!

I was in Hillsong church for 3 years, and I have sang that song SO many times.

But it was so different cuz for the first time in my life, I'm not singing something that I don't know, something that I haven't experienced yet and I'm just singing by faith...

But this time it's for REAL! I mean I get it!

I CALLED and HE ANSWERED!!!

He CAME to my rescue...

And for the first time, I knew exactly how the song writer felt at that exact point!!!

And I think I have never experienced a song like that before :p

It's funny huh? How God moves :p

I always find myself amazed..

And I actually can't wait for Friday :)

Cavanaugh Park

I'm sorry I am so bad at posting pics - it takes so long to upload them!!! but my sisters have been bugging me to put troy's pics up... so here goes...

His nick name is also chewbacca - I think you know why :p

*haha*

but seriously, Troy's cute MOST of the time...

He ran away TWICE though, had to pay a fine of $80 for him both times.

Broke 2 toes before his owner gave him up - I guess he is quite a handful..

But still cute, not very smart but adorable :)

But ya!!! He full on fell asleep like that!!! I couldn't stop laughing!!! and taking pictures of course - seriously!! I didn't know dogs could fall asleep in that position...

How shameless!! :p

Anyways, here are some of the other things that I have been up to...

This is the amazing camp committee that I was so privilege to work with and organise one of my most amazing fungus/101 youth camp *haha*

I can say that cuz I've only attended 2 :p

But it was such a phenomenal experience!! Really.

And of course - I went to watch Australia vs Japan!!!!

*haha* I can't believe I'm into soccer now, I actually enjoy it!!! Cuz flash back a couple of years ago, I think I only watched it for David Beckham :p But now, I actually enjoy watching the weekly youth soccer matches :) It's actually exciting.

But anyway, I was disappointed with the Aus vs Jap match!

Can't believe that Japan LOST!!! :(

Oh well...
